Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) have qualified for the quarter-final of the 2016 Superbest Power FA Cup after defeating Negeri Sembilan 4-1 on March 4th at the Tan Sri Dato Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium, Larkin. Despite resting most of their first-team players, they did not wait long to open the scoring when Azinee Taib’s ferocious shot from outside the penalty area went past the opposition goalkeeper in the fifth minute. Amri Yahyah also registered himself in the scoresheet when he scored a penalty in the 10th minute.
JDT head coach Mario Gomez then brought on Safiq Rahim and Jorge Pereyra Diaz in the second half to change the playing style. Jorge Pereyra Diaz performed admirably to scored two goals in the 63rd and 90th minute to quash any hope for the Hoben Hang squad to make a comeback. But Negeri Sembilan striker Andrew Nabbout did score a consolation goal in the 66th minute to make the match finish 4-1. Luaskan Kuasamu Johor.
