HM Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Sultan of Johor, has founded the Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim to provide assistance in education, welfare, sponsorships for poor students, medical and aid for senior citizens and people with disabilities with royal allowances received by His Majesty.

Natural disasters affecting the Johor people and welfare assistances required have often received attention from HM Sultan of Johor and HRH Crown Prince of Johor for a long tine. Every year, His Majesty’s various forms of personal donations have been presented by His Majesty himself or through the Johor government to the people whenever any natural disaster or unfortunate incident happens in Johor.

HM Sultan Ibrahim, who is known for being proficient in cooking, once prepared meals for flood victims in Segamat. It is not only limited to Johor as His Majesty’s deep concern for the people affected by natural disasters is extended to outside the state, with His Majesty once giving a personal donation of RM1 million to relief funds to help flood victims on the East Coast and earthquake victims in Sabah.

HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor, has also decreed that every district office in Johor to list out poor families and unfortunate groups regardless of race every month to His Royal Highness. Every family will receive a personal donation from His Royal Highness in the form of cash and necessities.

The contributions made every month in the past few years have not been revealed in details due to His Royal Highness’ sincerity. The sincerity and genuineness of the Johor Royal Family have placed them in a special place in the Johor people’s hearts and are a key reason why the Johor people always stand behind the Johor Sultanate from one era to another. FAKTA MENARIK | SEJARAH JOHOR | KESULTANAN JOHOR PERMATA HATI SEGENAP RAKYAT – BAHAGIAN DUA

DYMM Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Sultan Johor telah menubuhkan Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim bagi menyasarkan bantuan pendidikan, kebajikan, biasiswa pelajar miskin, perubatan serta bantuan kepada warga emas dan orang kurang upaya (OKU) daripada segala elaun diraja yang diterima oleh baginda.

Bencana yang menimpa rakyat Johor dan kebajikan yang diperlukan seringkali mendapat perhatian mendalam dari DYMM Sultan Johor dan DYAM Tunku Mahkota Johor sejak dahulu lagi. Setiap tahun, sumbangan peribadi baginda dalam pelbagai bentuk diserahkan sendiri oleh baginda atau melalui kerajaan Johor kepada segenap rakyat apabila adanya berlaku bencana dan nasib yang tidak baik di negeri Johor.

DYMM Sultan Ibrahim yang terkenal mahir memasak pernah menyediakan sendiri makanan untuk mangsa banjir di Segamat. Bukan sahaja di Johor, adakalanya keprihatinan baginda terhadap nasib rakyat yang ditimpa bencana hingga di luar negeri dimana baginda berkenan menyerahkan wang peribadi berjumlah RM1 juta kepada tabung bencana bagi membantu mangsa banjir di Pantai Timur serta mangsa gempa bumi di Sabah.

DYAM Mejar Jeneral Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Mahkota Johor juga menitahkan agar setiap pejabat-pejabat daerah di Johor menyenaraikan nama-nama keluarga fakir miskin dan golongan tidak bernasib naik tanpa mengira kaum setiap bulan kepada baginda. Setiap keluarga menerima sumbangan kurnia peribadi baginda berbentuk wang tunai dan keperluan-keperluan utama kelangsungan hidup yang lain.

Sumbangan yang dilakukan setiap bulan sejak beberapa tahun kebelakangan ini sengaja tidak didedahkan secara terperinci kerana ketulusan hati baginda. Keluhuran dan keikhlasan Keluarga Diraja Johor sering mendapat tempat istimewa di hati segenap lapisan rakyat Johor dan menjadi sebab utama mengapa rakyat Johor sentiasa berada di belakang Kesultanan Johor sejak dari zaman ke zaman.
