Mohd Safee Mohd Sali (born 29 January 1984 in Kajang, Selangor, Malaysia) is a Malaysian footballer who plays for Perlis FA and the Malaysia national football team. Safee plays as a forward or attacking midfielder.
In 2011, Safee become the first Malaysian footballer to play at the Indonesia Super League with Pelita Jaya FC. Safee previously played for Melaka TMFC, Kuala Lumpur FA, Sarawak FA, Selangor FA, Pelita Jaya FC and Arema Cronous.
Safee represents the Malaysia national team at the international level and was a member of the Malaysian team who won the 2010 AFF Championship for the first time with Safee being the top scorer. Safee is the only Malaysian footballer to scored in four consecutive AFF Championship tournament and is currently Malaysia’s all-time leading goalscorer at the tournament with nine goals.
Johor Darul Takzim
After joining Arema Cronous, Safee join Malaysian side, Johor Darul Takzim F.C. on loan. In his first season with the team, he scored six goals (2 league goals, 1 goal in Malaysia FA Cup and 3 goals in Malaysia Cup). After Safee agreed to stay at Johor Darul Takzim F.C. for the 2014 season, he was in a controversy when he was told to agreed to join with Selangor. In 2014 season, he scored 2 league goals.
