Mohammad Safiq Rahim (born 5 July 1987) is a Malaysian footballer who is currently playing for Malaysia Super League club, Johor Darul Ta’zim FC and Malaysia national team as a midfielder. Safiq started his career with Selangor before moving to KL PLUS. Safiq returned to Selangor in 2010 helping them to win the 2010 Super League and the 2010 Malaysia Charity Shield. Before the start of 2013 season, Safiq moved to Johor Darul Ta’zim FC. Safiq has made over 50 appearances for the Malaysia national team, scoring fourteen goals. He is also a former captain of the national team. Safiq was the top scorer of 2014 AFF Championship with six goals.
Safiq has joined Johor Darul Ta’zim F.C. for the 2013 season. He made his debut and scored in the opening match of 2013 Malaysia Super League against Pahang. In 2015, Safiq as club captain and selected to start in the 2015 AFC Cup Final, playing the full 90 minutes and being voted man of the match in a 1–0 victory against FC Istiklol at Pamir Stadium.
